Linux Kernel Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Linux Kernel Engineer to maintain and develop software for custom Linux distributions and hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a custom, Yocto-based, Linux distribution for various computer platforms
• Develop Linux kernel drivers for NVIDIA Tegra and NXP i.MX platforms
• Test custom board features in CI & HIL environments and provide long-term support for deployed products

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel development
• In-depth knowledge of build systems like Yocto and Buildroot
• Experience with open-source project contributions
• Advanced knowledge of C/C++ programming and shell scripting
• Experience with resource-constrained embedded hardware and CI & HIL environments
