Marine Claims Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Marine Claims Consultant to manage and investigate commercial marine claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and negotiate the resolution of Marine Claims (MGL/P&I/Hull/Boat Dealers/Contractors, etc.)
• Assist clients with timely reporting of marine claims to their trading partners, including complex and catastrophe claims
• Manage client assets to ensure prompt recovery of amounts ceded to insurers and assist with year-end collateral funding needs

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent years of relevant insurance or reinsurance experience
• 3+ years of industry experience; Property and Marine GL experience is a plus
• Maintain and/or secure required state adjuster licenses in states where claims are handled
• Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google office tools
