Medical Billing Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Associate to manage medical billing tasks remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and appeal denied claims
• Verify patient eligibility and benefits, and obtain necessary referrals and pre-authorizations
• Follow up on payments, resolve discrepancies, and assist patients with payment plans

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a medical biller or in a similar role
• Strong experience in accounts receivable collections
• Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
• Familiarity with CPT and current coding guidelines
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time in a remote work environment
