Michigan Licensed Senior GASB Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior GASB Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Support compliance with State, Federal, and audit requirements
• Prepare and reconcile client and vendor invoices, and assist with budget development and cash flow forecasting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Minimum of 5 years of nonprofit accounting experience, preferably in educational settings in Michigan
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools
