Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Access & Support Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Front patient calls for nurse triage and identify conditions needing urgent intervention
- Register new patients and manage appointment scheduling for primary and specialty care
- Provide administrative support for the UNC Virtual Practice and coordinate communications for patient care follow-up
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School degree or GED required
- One year of customer service experience with a bachelor's degree, three years with an associate's degree, or five years with a high school degree, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Must gain knowledge of the UNC Health Care System and some medical terminology during training
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and strong personal computer skills required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational skills
