Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative-Special Self Pay.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts to identify corrective opportunities before bad debt
• Confirm insurance coverage or contact patients for additional information as needed
• Utilize IDX software and perform independent duties with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma
• 0-2 years of relevant experience; vocational or technical education may be required for some roles
• Experience with IDX software is preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, particularly physician billing, is advantageous
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
