A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with payers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims
- Verify and update patient and financial information accurately
- Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays and initiate appeals when necessary
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years' experience in insurance collections and hospital/facility billing
- Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing including ICD-9/10, CPT, and HCPC codes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Medical Billing and Coding certification preferred but not required
