Job Summary
A company is looking for a Payroll Specialist (Contract).
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and timely, including W2 payroll and 1099 payments
- Manage and process employee garnishments and ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and prepare payroll reports
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, banking, operations, or a related field
- Strong experience with payroll systems and US payroll tax compliance
- Experience with garnishments, general ledger, payroll taxes, and benefit deductions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiar with payroll best practices
