Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative to manage patient accounts and ensure timely resolution of claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and resolve uncollected account balances by contacting third-party payors and patients
- Document account activities and maintain daily productivity goals while ensuring compliance with regulations
- Assist in special projects and communicate any issues affecting account resolution
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
- 1-4 years of medical claims and/or hospital collections experience
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate various system applications
- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
- Intermediate understanding of revenue cycle processes and insurance collections
