Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payer Contract Specialist to support managed care contract implementation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and assimilate managed care contract information for implementation and compliance monitoring
  • Act as an internal resource for community hospitals and other departments, providing contract-specific information and issue resolution
  • Manage and track escalated issues related to claim payment and reimbursement, making recommendations for resolution
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field OR High School Diploma/GED with three years of related experience
  • Strong desktop computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • One year of managed care or provider relations experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the contracting process and managed care (preferred)
  • Experience with processing insurance claims and negotiating insurance contracts (preferred)
