A company is looking for a Payroll Tax Specialist I.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll-tax payments and prepare tax returns for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage and resolve payroll tax inquiries and issues from clients and agencies
- Ensure accurate and timely filings and payments for quarter and year-end payroll taxes
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of payroll tax experience; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Experience as a Payroll Tax Specialist in a Service Bureau is preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in payroll tax software (MasterTax) and payroll software (iSolved) recommended
- Ability to handle confidential information and a strong work ethic with a desire to learn
