Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefit levels for medications
• Coordinate and supply necessary information for pre-certification and authorization requirements
• Communicate with patients and clinical partners to facilitate the authorization process

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician registration preferred
• 2 or more years of experience in a retail pharmacy or medical billing setting
• Knowledge of pharmacy software and Microsoft Word
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
• Experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program preferred
