Profee Coding Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Profee Coding Consultant (IR Cardiology/Multi-Specialty) to provide consulting services and educational support in medical coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign precise codes to ensure accurate coding aligned with client needs
• Conduct data quality reviews of records to assess compliance with official coding and documentation guidelines
• Identify documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues while communicating with healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of coding experience
• AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, or CRC)
• Experience in computerized encoding and abstracting software
• Required to take and pass annual Introductory HIPAA examination and other assigned testing
• Adeptness in remote work and exceptional time management skills
