Remote Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Billing Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operational revenue cycle tasks, including working on payer denials and appeals
• Analyze and investigate individual billing scenarios to identify trends for improvement
• Follow up on unpaid balances and determine appropriate billing actions for patients

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Minimum of one year of medical or healthcare-related billing or revenue cycle experience is preferred
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCs modifiers, ICD-10 codes, and EOB interpretation is preferred
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and electronic documentation
• Ability to uphold confidentiality and comply with relevant policies and procedures
