Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote PRN DRG/PCS IP Facility Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ensuring adherence to guidelines for financial reimbursement
• Review medical records and assign appropriate codes, maintaining a high accuracy rate
• Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts while staying updated on coding regulations

Required Qualifications

• Three to five years of coding experience required
• High school diploma or GED required; inpatient coding experience preferred
• Must possess one of the following coding certifications: CCS, CCS-P, COC, or RHIT/RHIA
• Certification must be achieved within one year of hire if not held at the time of hire
• Knowledge of ICD-9/10 CM and CPT-4 coding systems is essential
