A company is looking for a NOVA Admission Coordinator, responsible for managing insurance notifications, verifications, and authorizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform insurance notification, verification, and authorization activities for patient accounts
- Coordinate with insurance companies and clinical staff to secure scheduled and non-scheduled accounts
- Document account information thoroughly and explain financial requirements to patients
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in patient access, billing, cash collections, insurance, or pre-certification
- 3 years of directly related experience in a hospital setting is acceptable
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
