Application Optimization Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Application Optimization Engineer specializing in the energy domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Port and optimize energy domain applications for AMD CPU and GPU systems
• Work with performance engineers to tune applications and software packages for superior performance on AMD GPU accelerators
• Participate in Fortran ecosystem development by porting and testing Fortran-based applications for AMD GPU accelerators

Required Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related subjects, or equivalent experience
• Several years of relevant industry experience
• Expertise in energy domain topics such as acoustic & elastic seismic modeling, and reservoir simulation
• Experience with modern Fortran and C++, and optimizing parallel methods on GPU accelerators
• Knowledge of software development practices including debugging, testing, and documentation
