Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and follow up on prior authorization requests with insurance payers
• Gather information from various sources to register patients and obtain necessary authorizations
• Utilize computer programs to support authorization processes and provide customer service regarding coverage inquiries

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Prior experience with pre-authorizations, patient registration, or insurance verification
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Familiarity with reviewing medical charts and clinical documentation
• Proficiency with PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
