Cancer Center Financial Advocate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Advocate (Full Time).

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage, establishing co-pay and deductible amounts
• Provide cost estimates for Cancer Center procedures and obtain insurance preauthorization for services
• Assist patients in applying for financial assistance programs and track their financial services throughout treatment

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of college or technical degree preferred
• Two years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical insurance billing office preferred
• Familiarity with Mosaiq, Hospital EMR, Microsoft Office products, and automated systems preferred
• Customer service skills and ability to triage and prioritize workflow preferred
• No specific licensure or certification required
