Job Summary
A company is looking for a Financial Advocate (Full Time).
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage, establishing co-pay and deductible amounts
- Provide cost estimates for Cancer Center procedures and obtain insurance preauthorization for services
- Assist patients in applying for financial assistance programs and track their financial services throughout treatment
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma or GED required; two years of college or technical degree preferred
- Two years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical insurance billing office preferred
- Familiarity with Mosaiq, Hospital EMR, Microsoft Office products, and automated systems preferred
- Customer service skills and ability to triage and prioritize workflow preferred
- No specific licensure or certification required
