Geospatial Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Geospatial Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Aggregate and ensure the availability of geospatial data for target regions
• Research and assess open, public domain, and commercial data sources for quality and freshness
• Develop and maintain tools for data preprocessing and postprocessing for AI/ML applications

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a high-growth tech environment
• Experience with open-source GIS libraries and tools, including PROJ and GDAL
• Familiarity with GIS data modalities and formats such as GeoTIFF, LAS/LAZ, and ESRI Shapefiles
• Basic scripting abilities, preferably in Python, for automation tasks
