Mainframe Systems Programmer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe Systems Programmer- VSE.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and implement new z/VSE operating systems and software
• Provide technical support and mentoring to team members while maintaining ongoing projects
• Monitor and tune systems software for capacity and performance

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in a related role
• Fluent in VSE JCL with the ability to advise on JCL issues
• Installation and administration knowledge of ISV and IBM z/VSE software
• Familiarity with application environments including RPG, COBOL, Assembler, and REXX
• Working knowledge of IBM Z hardware and general networking concepts
