Job Summary
A company is looking for a Managed Care Coordinator to join their Specialty pharmacy team remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient benefits and obtain initial authorizations for services
- Verify insurance benefits and relay information to pharmacy staff
- Track patient progress and manage re-authorizations as necessary
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; some college work preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience with patient accounts in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
- Understanding of insurance, prior authorization, and patient benefits preferred
- Computer experience is mandatory
- Must be eligible for participation in all applicable State and Federal reimbursement programs
