Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with payers to resolve outstanding claims and ensure timely billing
- Review and update patient and financial information accurately
- Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays; initiate appeals as necessary
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years' experience in insurance collections and hospital/facility billing
- Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing including ICD-9/10, CPT, and HCPC codes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Medical Billing and Coding certification preferred, but not required
