A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist - Remote (OR & WA).
Key Responsibilities
- Address payment options and complete related paperwork for patients in a call center environment
- Screen patients for Financial Assistance Applications and verify eligibility
- Communicate with patients to resolve account issues and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances
Required Qualifications
- Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field
- Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred
- Proficient in using computers and MS Office applications
- Experience with alphanumeric data entry and standard office equipment
