Patient Account Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist - Remote (OR & WA).

Key Responsibilities

• Address payment options and complete related paperwork for patients in a call center environment
• Screen patients for Financial Assistance Applications and verify eligibility
• Communicate with patients to resolve account issues and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances

Required Qualifications

• Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field
• Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred
• Proficient in using computers and MS Office applications
• Experience with alphanumeric data entry and standard office equipment
