A company is looking for a Private Pay Collections Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the collection of outstanding private pay balances for Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs)
- Initiate and document private pay collection calls to resolve outstanding balances
- Collaborate with Business Office Managers to address billing discrepancies and confirm payer responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care billing and collections, focusing on private pay accounts
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience making outbound collection calls in a healthcare or senior living environment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of SNF billing practices and payer responsibility structures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
