Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Claims Specialist - Short Term Disability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex Short Term Disability claims from intake to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate decisions
• Collaborate with clinical and vocational partners to develop return-to-work strategies and assess benefit eligibility
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Short Term Disability claims, contributing to process design and internal procedures

Required Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience handling Short Term Disability claims
• Strong understanding of relevant federal/state regulations (e.g., FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, ADA)
• Experience partnering with clinical/vocational professionals for return-to-work efforts
• Proficiency with claims administration platforms and workflow/documentation tools
