State Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice on regulatory, compliance, and risk-management matters for commercial and consumer lending
• Lead legal support for commercial finance and consumer marketplace lending, including contract negotiations and compliance oversight
• Research and analyze laws and regulations, ensuring alignment with the organization's risk management policies and strategic goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor, licensed to practice law in at least one state
• Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in law firm and in-house roles, with significant experience in a senior legal role at a federally chartered bank
• Strong background in compliance and regulatory challenges in consumer lending, payments, or fintech environments
• Familiarity with relevant statutes and regulations in consumer and commercial lending, including TILA, EFTA, and BSA
