Job Summary
A company is looking for a Temporary Research Scientist focused on Causes of Death, Shocks, Intermediate Causes, and Antimicrobial Resistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative analyses and lead research projects, ensuring the quality and accuracy of results
- Develop and implement complex datasets and statistical methods, primarily using Python and/or R
- Mentor junior staff, contribute to scientific publications, and assist in drafting presentations and funding proposals
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, or a related field plus four years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience in statistical modeling, particularly in Bayesian methods
- Advanced proficiency in coding with Python and/or R
- Experience working with large datasets and developing computational workflows
- Strong publication record and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
