Underwriting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist responsible for producing accurate and timely rates for customers while evaluating risk and establishing premium levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the quote process and evaluate technical aspects of the rating process to generate accurate rates
• Identify business procedures, apply underwriting risk rules, and generate rates and proposals within service standards
• Partner with Underwriters and other teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer needs and documentation

Required Qualifications and Education

• 2-to-4-year college degree preferred or related industry experience
• Experience in customer interactions and ability to communicate effectively with sales reps and partners
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment with a proactive approach
