Virginia State Financial Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and financial expertise for program requirements and policy related to Titles IV-E and IV-B spending
• Manage and monitor state general funds and other funding sources for child welfare programs
• Develop program plans, policies, and procedures related to Child Welfare spending and recommend strategic changes to comply with regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Comprehensive working knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles
• Ability to plan, monitor, and report on complex budget issues
• Strong analytical skills for data gathering and analysis
• Understanding of complex federal and state regulations related to financial policies
• Demonstrated work experience in an analytical role within budget and/or finance
