Revenue Recognition Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Revenue Recognition Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze revenue accounting entries for month-end close, ensuring deferred revenue waterfalls are accurately maintained
• Own the ASC 606 revenue recognition in NetSuite (ARM module) monthly
• Perform detailed reviews/analysis of Master Agreements and Contracts to ensure proper revenue recording and compliance with policy

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years of direct experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition, or 3-5 years of progressive general accounting experience with a strong understanding of revenue principles
• Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets and Word / Google Docs
• Excited to build out systems and processes in a rapidly growing business
