Senior Accountant, CPA Preferred

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Regional Senior Accountant for the West & South-Central regions, focusing on financial reporting and compliance in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Oversee operational accounting areas and mentor assigned accounting staff

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience in the insurance industry
• Prior supervisory experience over staff accountants
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting in the insurance brokerage sector
