Senior Automation Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Principal Automation Engineer responsible for leading the design and implementation of custom automated manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as project leader for automation projects within the Global Manufacturing Supply Chain organization
• Design and develop custom automated manufacturing equipment, including creating equipment specifications and standards
• Lead and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Plastics engineering, mechanical engineering, or a relevant area of study or equivalent experience
• 10-15 years' experience in project management, preferably in a regulated environment like medical devices
• Previous experience managing moderately complex engineering projects within a team-oriented environment
• Completion of formal project management training (e.g., PMP or CAPM credentialing programs) is preferred
