Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist III to enhance weather prediction and atmospheric data science.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance meteorological models and datasets to predict severe weather phenomena
• Analyze, interpret, and validate model results to inform data teams for improvements
• Lead cross-departmental initiatives and mentor other Data Scientists and ML Engineers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in advanced meteorological algorithms and operational forecasting
• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale meteorological projects in a production environment
• Expert-level proficiency in meteorological datasets and analytical techniques
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, and C++
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark for analyzing large datasets
