Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Infrastructure Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and monitor large scale Aurora MySQL/Postgres and VMWare-based database infrastructure
• Automate monitoring, maintenance, and support tasks while defining and advocating for database design best practices
• Plan and implement database disaster recovery and manage production environment infrastructure to minimize downtime

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in database administration with experience in highly available Relational MySQL/Postgres clusters and NoSQL databases
• 5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and schema design
• Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Chef
• Proficiency in a scripting language (shell, perl, python, etc.) and automation technologies
