Senior Directed Energy Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Directed Energy Engineer to support advanced directed energy systems engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in high energy laser (HEL) and high-power microwave (HPM) systems engineering, including performance testing and beam control
• Conduct system engineering tasks such as modeling, simulation, requirements analysis, and specification generation
• Collaborate with Government and Industry professionals in directed energy technology development

Required Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in laser physics, electro-optical system engineering, or high-power radio frequency system engineering
• Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering field; additional relevant experience may substitute for education
• Familiarity with US DoD Directed Energy weapon development programs
• 3+ years of experience in project management or technical direction of technology development programs
