Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Power and Energy Systems Modeler.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement high-quality power system modeling focused on capacity expansion and economic dispatch models for electricity decarbonization
• Collaborate with science and technology teams to develop frameworks and tools for flexible energy system modeling
• Advise clients on decarbonization strategies based on power and energy system modeling and analysis

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience in power system modeling
• Experience in authoring and reviewing power system modeling results
• Proficiency in commercial and/or open-source power system modeling tools like PyPSA or PLEXOS
• Knowledge of power and energy system modeling principles and their application in the private sector
• Familiarity with policy frameworks impacting the electric grid and corporate carbon accounting frameworks
