Senior Thermal Hydraulics Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer, Thermal Hydraulics.

Key Responsibilities

• Interface with test engineering and CFD modeling teams to design and conduct experiments for CFD model validation
• Process and analyze raw experimental data and perform calculations using first principles of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
• Develop and implement custom software tools for standardizing and organizing experimental datasets

Required Qualifications and Skills

• PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering with 3-5 years of related experience, or MS degree with 6-8 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 10-15 years of experience
• Experience implementing experimental methods in thermal-fluid systems and model validation
• Proficiency with MathCAD or equivalent tools (MATLAB, Jupyter, etc.)
• Experience with Conjugate Heat Transfer tools and methods, including STARCCM+ or ANSYS CFX and/or Fluent
• Proficiency in package development using Python and GitHub
