Senior Transmission Planning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Transmission Planning and Interconnection Study Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform power system analysis for transmission systems, including power flow and stability analyses
• Prepare steady state, short circuit, and dynamic models while supporting senior engineers in technical report preparation
• Conduct and review system impact studies and oversee new generation interconnection requests throughout the planning cycle

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 6+ years of experience in power systems analysis using PSS/E, TSAT, or PSLF
• Experience in stability studies and congestion analysis across various ISOs
• Proficiency in PSS/E and alternative planning software such as TARA or PSLF
• Knowledge of electric power systems, including synchronous generators and renewable energy technologies
