Staff Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Platform Engineer to design and implement scalable data solutions on an AWS-based platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the AWS-based data lake, providing architectural guidance and setting technical vision
• Develop and enhance data pipelines ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability while championing modern data practices
• Lead the team as a player/coach, mentoring and guiding on key projects while collaborating with analytics and data science teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering with a proven track record in large-scale data solutions
• Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT design patterns and modern data lake architectures
• Advanced proficiency with Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and AWS-native data services
• Experience designing secure, reliable data systems that meet compliance and regulatory standards
