Job Summary

A company is looking for a Counsel to serve as a legal and strategic advisor in their Benefits Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory and strategic guidance on product development, claims, compliance, and operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts related to group insurance and medical services
• Offer legal support for product initiatives and claims processes, and participate in cross-functional collaboration

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active member of a state bar in good standing
• 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably in insurance or financial services
• Experience in life and disability insurance, group benefits, or employee benefits
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating complex contracts
• Familiarity with ERISA, HIPAA, and privacy laws related to insurance or benefits
