Job Summary

A company is looking for a General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall legal strategy and risk assessment with a focus on regulatory compliance and litigation management
• Manage the Legal & Compliance teams and interface with executive leadership on legal and strategic advice
• Oversee capital formation opportunities and general corporate legal matters, including vendor contracts and employee agreements

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to the Bar in the state of residence
• At least 5+ years of legal practice experience as in-house counsel with team management experience
• Significant experience in regulatory matters and knowledge of consumer financial services laws
• Experience in the consumer home financing space is a major plus
