Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure the profitability of a designated book of business through accurate renewal rate calculations and risk assessments
• Support corporate sales goals by completing new business quotes and preparing RFP responses
• Monitor financial performance and provide expertise to Account Managers regarding benefit changes and alternatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 3 years of underwriting experience in group health, medical, ancillary benefits, and/or pharmacy
• Knowledge of risk selection and pricing methodologies in the health insurance industry
• Familiarity with industry laws, regulations, and market trends
• Experience in the health insurance industry is preferred
