Virtualization Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Virtualization Administrator to manage and maintain its virtualized infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment, configuration, and support of virtual environments ensuring optimal performance and security
• Manage on-prem hardware infrastructure and cloud infrastructure provided by a CSP
• Implement backup and disaster recovery, automation, and provide mentorship to junior staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience in virtualization administration
• Experience managing VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies
• Proficiency in automating IT administration and server provisioning using tools like Azure DevOps and PowerShell
• Experience integrating infrastructure tool APIs for Infrastructure as Code with CI/CD pipelines
