zTPF Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Development Engineer II.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide beginning to intermediate level zTPF operating system software development, testing, maintenance, and support
• Develop, enhance, test, implement, and maintain the zTPF mainframe platform and operating system
• Provide operational and production support for zTPF systems, including third-level escalation and problem resolution

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of zTPF related experience
• Application level knowledge of zTPF operating system, file system, database, and programming languages such as Assembler and C/C++
• Ability to navigate adjacent systems like z/VM, z/Linux, and z/OS
• Working knowledge of zTPF development and testing tools
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and processes
