Position Overview
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Compensation & Global Mobility Specialist to join our global People team. This role is a key driver in shaping how we move, reward, and retain talent across borders. You will manage and evolve our global employee mobility program while also leading compensation structuring and benchmarking, particularly in complex markets like tech.
As 1GLOBAL expands, this role will enable a more intentional, data-driven approach to global rewards, helping us move away from legacy compensation setups and towards an equitable, scalable salary and benefits architecture that aligns with business needs and employee expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation & Salary Architecture
- Structure and benchmark compensation, particularly for tech roles where market complexity and internal variation are high.
- Lead the development of a global salary architecture, ensuring alignment across job families, levels, and geographies.
- Evaluate and evolve compensation packages to reflect market competitiveness, internal consistency, and business strategy.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Business Leaders to guide offer structuring, salary band usage, and pay decisions.
Global Mobility
- Develop, implement, and maintain a global mobility and relocation strategy that aligns with business needs and regulatory compliance.
- Manage end-to-end international assignment processes, including policy development, relocation, tax compliance, and repatriation.
- Lead immigration management and work visa processes across multiple countries in collaboration with legal and external partners.
- Partner with legal, HR, and finance teams to ensure full compliance with immigration, tax, and employment regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for mobile employees, offering end-to-end support across pre-assignment planning, relocation, and repatriation.
- Design mobility programs with full visibility into total compensation, tax implications, and internal equity.
- Maintain and optimise vendor relationships (relocation, tax, immigration) to ensure service quality and cost control.
Benefits Strategy
- Lead the creation of a global benefits matrix, giving clear visibility into benefits across markets.
- Streamline and modernise legacy setups to align with our global standards and employee value proposition.
- Ensure that benefit programs support retention and mobility while meeting legal requirements and budgetary goals.
- Partner with local HR and finance teams to track and optimise benefits costs, usage, and employee experience.
- 5+ years in global mobility and/or compensation management, ideally in a fast-growing tech or telecoms environment.
- Strong understanding of international tax, immigration, employment law, and cross-border compensation.
- Proven experience building and benchmarking salary structures across diverse markets and functions.
- Strong analytical mindset and proficiency in compensation tools or HRIS platforms.
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and legacy systems while building scalable solutions.
