Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Application Security Engineer II to support security initiatives related to containerized development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of a container image security strategy
• Perform security research, application security testing, and provide guidance on defensive coding techniques
• Provide technical mentorship to less experienced employees and collaborate with Cybersecurity teams on vulnerability remediation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus four years of modern application development or application security experience
• Moderate experience in Container Security with technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
• Moderate experience with AWS development
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline technologies such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Three years of system security experience
