Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Specialist I responsible for the timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient, billing, and claim information for accuracy using various systems
• Perform compliant billing functions including electronic, paper, and portal submissions
• Monitor claims for missing information and resolve billing rejections

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical collections/billing experience
• Intermediate knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and NCCI
• Intermediate knowledge of third-party billing guidelines and claim forms (UB04/1500)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Intermediate working knowledge of health information systems
