Bioinformatics Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Analyst to develop front-end tools and conduct bioinformatics analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, document, and maintain custom RNAseq and OMICs data-analysis pipelines and front-end tools
• Detect and resolve software bugs and performance issues while providing technical support for applications
• Educate and train colleagues in the usage of these tools and execute extensive testing strategies

Required Qualifications

• Degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, biophysics, biotechnology, or related field
• BS with 2-4 years of experience, or MS with 0-2 years of experience
• Advanced knowledge in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics such as R and Python
• Extensive experience in front-end/tool development, specifically with R-Shiny or similar frameworks
• Experience with UNIX environments and cloud systems is preferred
