Job Summary

A company is looking for a General Counsel responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and managing legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise senior management on nonprofit corporate, tax, compliance, and governance issues
• Draft and negotiate contracts and ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws
• Participate in strategic planning and advise on risk management and insurance matters

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree with 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit contracts administration or compliance roles
• Experience in nonprofit governance and operations, preferably with mission-driven organizations
• Strong understanding of nonprofit law and tax regulations related to tax-exempt organizations
• Experience in communicating corporate and legal matters to a lay audience
• Supervisory experience preferred
